October 6th

5BMF Song book World Premier
Soprano Soloist for the World premier of 19 new songs each by a different composer at the Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn NYC for The 5 Boroughs Music Festival


October 14-16, Tampa, FLorida

Soprano Soloist for Carmina Burana with the Florida Symphony, in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, Florida


November 12th, Queens, NYC

Soprano Soloist for the Queens premier of 20 new Songs each by different composers at the Flushing town Hall, in Queens, NYC, for the 5 Boroughs Music Festival


November 18th, London Ontario

Recital with Erika Switzer, Piano and Tyler Duncan, Baritone in London Ontario for the Jeffrey Concerts.   


November 21st-30th, NYC

Recording dates for the  5 Boroughs Music Festival Song Book.  This CD recorded on the GVR Label will be released to the public on January 12, 2012

August 8th

Martha will return to Vancouver and again join pianist Erika Switzer. This time she is to perform a recital of all Vancouver composers at MusicFest.

August 6th

Martha will be performing with Pianist Erika Switzer on the gorgeous Hornby Island off the coast of British Columbia at the Hornby festival.  She will be presenting a concert of Opera and song.  Check out the other concerts and the particulars of this one at this website:

Martha will be performing at the legendary Wigmore Hall in London, U.K. with the phenomenal pianist Graham Johnson presenting 'A salute to Venice'

May 6-7th, 2011

Martha will be singing two performances as Soprano Soloist for the Brahms 'German Requiem' conducted by Maestro John Nelson in Grand Rapids MI at Calvin College.


May 1st, 2011

Martha will be taking part in the Final Concert for Robert Holst, Maestro of the Downers Grove Choral Society in Illinois, outside of Chicago.  Martha will be singing as soprano soloist for a world premier by composer Robert Convery entitled 'As rivers seek the sea' and for the Mozart Reqiuem

Both Martha and Ricardo will be singing Bach's St. John Passion in Columbia, South Carolina for a special Palm Sunday performance with the Trinity Cathedral Choir and members of the Symphony.

The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra in Albuquerque, NM will be presenting Martha along side her basso husband Ricardo Lugo in two performances of Haydn's 'Creation'.  Maestro Guillermo Figueroa leads these performances.

Chelsea Opera's Production of Tom Cipullo's Opera 'Glory Denied'
Martha will be taking on the lead role of 'Older Alyce' in this wonderful and dramatic opera based on the Biography of The Longest captured POW during the Vietnam war.  Performances are at St. Peter's Church in Chelsea, NYC (346 west 20th street)

November 21st

The Santa Fe Symphony's annual Messiah in Beautiful New Mexico  will feature Martha as Soprano Soloist.

November 29th

Long time collaborator and 'sparks and wiry cries' co-conspirator Erika Switzer will be presenting one of her final doctoral recitals at the Juilliard School in NYC.  This recital will feature Martha along with some other fantastic colleagues.  Free concert!!


December 3rd, 8pm

Martha will be performing with the Vancouver Chamber Choir in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada  which is under the direction of Maestro Jon Washburn.  She will be performing as soloist in a world premier of composer Stephen Chatmans new work 'Magnificat', as well as the Vivaldi  'Magnificat'. The performance takes place at the historical 'Orpheum Theater' in downtown Vancouver.

December 19th

Martha will be performing a shared recital with pianist Thomas Bagwell for the Lotte Lehmann Foundation in NYC.  The concert takes place at Christ and St. Stephens Church (122 w. 69th street)


January 15th-31st

Martha will be touring a recital of water songs with Baritone Tyler Duncan and Pianist Erika Switzer throughout the prairie provinces of Canada.  Highlights include: Winnipeg, Brandon, Snow lake, and Thompson, Manitoba; Regina and Estevan Saskatchewan.  Hopefully some dog sledding fun will also occur in this chilly month in northern Canada!

Vanguard Festival in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  This is a festival celebrating American Contemporary Music presented by Dickenson College and the Florestan Recital Project.   I will be performing many wonderful pieces here including a world premier by Thomas Pasatieri and a performance of Libby Larsen's 'Try me good king'.   Concert information below:

March 11th, recital for the Lotte Lehman Foundation in conjunction with the Galapagos Art Space and Bethmorrison Productions.

This concert will feature performances of songs by living American composers at the hippest joint in Brooklyn: the Galapagos art Space.  I will be joined by three other performers in this 90 minute performance of contemporary classical song.

World Premier Performances of 'Margot Alone in the Light', by composer Clint Borzoni.  Martha willl be performing the role of Margot.  This piece is an adaptation of Ray Bradbury's  short story 'All summer in a day', is a production of Operamission, and will be staged with full orchestra at the Gershwin Hotel in NYC.

Martha will be in Vancouver for the 4th consecutive year as a performer and faculty member at the Vancouver International Song Institute.  She will be performing concerts throughout her time there that will include performances of Schumann's 'Myrthen' and a recital of Canadian repertoire with Tyler Duncan, Baritone and Erika Switzer, Piano.  Songs will include a world premier by Lloyd Burrit, poetry by Dorothy Livesay and other wonderful discoveries!

A beautiful selection of chamber music performances on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan.  A favorite retreat for Martha, this special place is also home to a chamber music festival that is entering its 8th season.


July 25th-August 8th  Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival
